Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Pauline Dupuis, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on September 23, 2026, at La Source Bleue Palliative Care Home in Boucherville, at the venerable age of 101, a milestone she had only recently celebrated.

Widow of the late Mr. Lucien Bourdeau, her first husband, Pauline later joined her life with that of Mr. Guy Bourdeau, Lucien’s brother, with whom she shared 72 wonderful years of marriage—a lifetime filled with love, companionship, cherished memories, and a family they built together.

At the end of an extraordinary life spanning more than a century, Pauline leaves behind the memory of a deeply loved woman whose presence touched several generations.

She has gone to join her daughter Diane; her brothers and sisters, Claire, Bernadette, Aimée, Constant, Rita, Jean-Claude and Reina; as well as her parents, the late Mr. Roch Dupuis and the late Mrs. Jeanne Bellefleur.

She leaves to mourn her husband Guy; her children, Denis (Jeanne-D’Arc), Danielle and Ronald (Joanne); her grandchildren, Karim, Samy, Guylaine, Benoit and Jean-Michel (Shanaëlle); as well as her great-grandchildren, Evan and Ruby.

She also leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her nephews and nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends who will cherish precious memories of her.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Salon B of the complex. A farewell ceremony will follow in the chapel at 12:00 p.m.

The interment of her ashes will take place at a later date, in a private ceremony, at the Saint-Constant Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, volunteers, doctors and nurses of CLSC Kateri, CSDA and La Source Bleue Palliative Care Home for the gentle and dignified care provided to Pauline, as well as for their dedication and kindness.

The loss of a wife and mother brings a sorrow that words can scarcely express.

After 72 years of walking beside her husband, sharing both life’s joys and hardships, and watching the generations she loved so dearly grow around her, Pauline now leaves a void as immense as the place she held in the hearts of those who loved her.

Throughout her long life, she wiped away so many tears, comforted so many sorrows and shared so many moments of happiness. She leaves behind more than a century of memories and love.

And among all the tears shed throughout the years, those we shed at her passing will be the only ones we will not be able to share with her.

Yet a wife and mother never truly leaves us. Pauline will continue to live on in the memories of those who loved her, in their gestures, in their thoughts, and in the family that remains the most precious legacy of her long and beautiful life.
