Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marthe Coallier (née Chevigny), on September 13, 2026, at the age of 76. She was a resident of Saint-Rémi.

Daughter of the late Mr. Lionel Chevigny and the late Mrs. Hélène Hébert, she was the beloved wife of Mr. Jean-Louis Coallier.

In addition to her husband Jean-Louis, she leaves to mourn her dearly loved children, Rhéaume (Natasha), Maryse (Jean-François) and Benoit (Carine); her cherished grandchildren, Éloi, Sabine, Ulys, Xavier, Lévi, Magalie, William and Yohan; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Ambroise and Ésmée.

She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Marthe was a deeply loving and devoted woman for whom family held a very special place. A caring wife, a loving mother, and a tender grandmother and great-grandmother, she surrounded those she loved with affection, presence and kindness. A cherished sister, sister-in-law and friend, she will leave in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her the memory of a truly wonderful person. Her love and the precious moments shared with her will continue to live on through those she loved so dearly.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Saint-Rémi Funeral Complex. A farewell ceremony will follow in the visitation room at 12:00 p.m.

The burial of the ashes will take place on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint-Rémi-de-Napierville Cemetery, located at 232 Saint-André Street in Saint-Rémi.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the caring staff of CHSLD La Prairie for the excellent care provided to Marthe. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, family members, friends and everyone who cared for her and accompanied her with devotion, gentleness and kindness.

Your presence by Marthe’s side was deeply appreciated and will remain precious to her entire family.
