Surrounded by his loved ones, Mr. Armand Provost, a native of Saint-Mathieu and husband of the late Gilberte Whitty, passed away peacefully at the Haut-Richelieu hospital on September 7, 2025, at the age of 86.
He will be reunited with his brothers Guy and Jean-Marie and his sister Monique.
He was a man of great kindness, known by all for his gentleness, quick wit, and ingenuity. He was an ingenious entrepreneur who loved to work. His infallible memory enriched our gatherings with stories from each period of his long and eventful life. His passing leaves a huge void, but also a wealth of fond and vivid memories.
He is survived by his daughter Marie-Claude, his son Daniel, his grandchildren Marie-Ève and Danny (Vanessa), his great-grandchildren Éliot, Flavie, and Béatrice, his sisters Réjeanne (Maurice), Lucille (Gilles), Suzanne, and Jeannine, his brother René (Lisette), his nephews and nieces, and many relatives and friends.
He has been entrusted to Poissant & Fils Funeral Home Ltd.

The family will welcome relatives and friends on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Saint-Mathieu Community Center,
299 Chemin Saint-Édouard, Saint-Mathieu, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Armand Provost will be buried at a later date at the Saint-Mathieu Cemetery, and the family will gather in private.
The family would like to thank all the nursing staff at the Résidence Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and the Résidence Cherbourg in Brossard for the excellent care they provided to Mr. Provost.
