Watchiya My prayers and condolences to the family of Ron. I first met Ron back in 1975 and became friends right away. He showed me his lacrosse skills and I bought some sticks. I shared with him my hunting experiences and I knew he was interested on life of the our land. He became friends to my late brothers Billy and Albert that included their children. He came to Rupert House (Waskaganish) in the late 70s. I remained in contact with him all these years. He would give me a handshake first then a big hug whenever our paths crossed. He was a loyal and hard-working man especially when he worked with the Cree Trappers' Association. He was a great friend and I will miss those funny stories, jokes and the laughter we often shared together. Rest in Peace my good friend, Zack...rest in paradise.
