Obituary

At Jeffery Hale Hospital, on January 29, 2026, at the age of 99, passed away Mrs. Gisèle Monette, wife of the late Mr. Clément Thibert, daughter of the late Éva Bombardier and the late Joseph Monette. She resided in Québec City.

She was the sister of the late Gérald, the late Arthur, the late Laurette, the late Jeannette, and the late Rolande.

She is survived by her daughters: Louise and Céline (Dany Boulanger); her grandchildren: Marc, Andréanne (Jung Yoon Kim (Jay)), Alexandre (Sonia Bastarache), Vincent (Catherine Canizales), and Philippe; her great-grandchildren: Taeho and Damin. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, her godchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Saint-Constant Funeral Home (180 St-Pierre Street, Saint-Constant, J5A 2G9), beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by a farewell ceremony at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of the complex. The interment of the ashes will take place at the Delson Cemetery at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Christine Ngningone-Nguema of Services à domicile du Cap Diamant and the palliative care team of the CLSC de Sainte-Foy–Sillery, particularly Sara Caron, for their dedicated care.
