MELOCHE-LAHACHE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our matriarch Irene Meloche Lahache on January 2, 2026, at the Montreal General Hospital, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by the love of her husband, Kenneth Lahache, and her close family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lucien Meloche and Lucille Côté Meloche; her daughter, Lucille Lahache; and her sister, Lynn Meloche Lahache.
Besides her loving husband, Irene is survived by her caring children: Dale Lahache (late Irvin), Kenny Lahache (Hazel), Mark Lahache (Valerie), and George Lahache (Rosanne).
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Keith White; Shyann White (Quinn); Kevin Lahache (Niaomi); Kelvin Lahache; Hunter Lahache; Kyle Lahache (Mickey); Taronhiathe Lahache (Shaoiehra); Iohsennontion Lahache (Anthony); Brandon Lahache (Minetta); Katsitsi:io Phillips (Mark); Joseph Phillips (Marissa) and many many great-grandchildren.
Remembered by her brothers Robert Meloche (Helen) and Lucien Meloche (Leena), her sisters Nora Meloche and Diane Meloche (late Armand), as well as many other relatives and friends.
She will be resting at Poissant and Deer Funeral Parlor on the Old Malone Highway in Kahnawake.
Visitations will take place from Friday, January 9, at 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, January 11, at 10:30 a.m., at which time a closing service will be held in the parlor, followed by a burial at Kateri Catholic Cemetery.
