Kawennes Dorothy
LAHACHE
On March 29, 2026, Kawennes Dorothy Lahache passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind her life partner, Ronnie; her children, Akohserakwas (Tioheronte), Atenharishon (Cheryl), Rasennisaks (Katsi), Taiawen’ti, and Kahtehrón:ni; as well as her many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She will be reunited with her past relatives and her beloved son Ranikonhrí:io.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Kahnawake Fire Brigade, Anna-Laberge Hospital, and the compassionate staff at Kateri Memorial Hospital Center for the care and kindness shown to Kawennes.
Kawennes will be laid out at the 207 Longhouse beginning on April 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place on April 3, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center or Kahnawake Fire Brigade.
