Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4th surrounded by his children and grandchildren. The beloved husband of the late Hazel Warisose Skasenati Jacobs passed before him on April 11, 2001. Son of the late Thomas Jacobs and Annie Budd Dailleboust. Also predeceased by his aunt Cecilia Budd Dailleboust, his sister Thomasine Robertson and son-in-law Barry Montour.
He leaves behind his children Alanna (late Barry Montour), Allison, John, James (Kristen) and his grandchildren, whom he adored, Jesse (Dakota), Brady and Shakohahiiostha. Also leaving behind his brother Mike Jacobs as well his sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
John was an Ironworker and talented Master Carpenter who created many beautiful and cherished pieces that his family hold dear. He loved to spend time with his family, camping in Lake George and spending time at our annual Pow Wow.
We thank the PABs, nurses, doctors, and staff of the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center for the care they provided. A special thank you to Ashley Norton for her support in caring for our dad.
We will miss his hugs, big smile, kindness and sense of humor. He also had a deep love for all animals big and small.

The family will welcome relatives and friends on Thursday, from 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at St-Francis-Xavier mission church
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center.
