It is with peace that we announce the passing of our Mother Georgette Jacobs (nee Zweidinger), 80, of Kahnawake on June 11, 2026.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Valentine and Mary (nee Jacobs) Zweidinger and raised in Cliffwood, NJ, Georgette spent many summers in Brooklyn with her beloved Grandmother Ida Brooks.
She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years Roy Jacobs, and her siblings James, Margaret, Freddy, George, Tommy, and Chuck.
She is survived by her children Jimmy (Monica), Richie, Randy (Tatum) and Jody (Peter), grandchildren Karihwi:io, Aroniahkens, Bradley, Skye, Kanonsase, Madison, Kahsennokwas, Thea, Shononhsiio, Iehahes, and 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind siblings Mary, Jackie, Joey and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Georgette will be remembered for a kind and gentle nature, love for her children and grandchildren and her devotion to her husband.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center for the love and care they provided in her last years. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kateri Memorial Foundation which supports the needs of the hospital and their residents.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Kahnawake Funeral Home beginning at noon on June 15, 2026, and continuing until June 16, 2026. A burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, at Kateri Cemetery.
