Obituary

At the Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay, on August 22, 2026, at the age of 75, passed away Mrs. Michèle Deschamps, a resident of Sainte-Julienne.

A loving, generous woman with a zest for life, Michèle devoted a large part of her life to welcoming and caring for many children as a foster mother. Her door, just like her heart, was always open. To each of them, she was a reassuring presence, a listening ear and, very often, a true maternal figure.

Her passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Surrounded by the love of her children until her final breath, she leaves behind precious memories, unbreakable bonds and a family deeply grateful for all the love she shared so generously.

She has gone to join her parents, the late Eugène Deschamps and the late Alexina Chevigny.

She leaves to mourn her children France, Simon (Mélanie), Simon H. (Amélie), Valérie (Filippo) and Olivier; her granddaughter Josianne (Nicola); her great-grandchildren Kéid, Aria and Sofia; her sister Claire; her nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will welcome relatives and friends to offer their condolences on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Salon B of the Saint-Constant Funeral Complex.

A farewell ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the LaSaline Chapel of the Complex.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all the medical staff at Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Deschamps, as well as for their dedication, compassion, support and guidance throughout this difficult time.

Your memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those you loved, welcomed and cared for. Your immense heart has left an everlasting mark that time can never erase.
