It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Alexandre Poirier, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 83.
He will join his parents, the late Mr. Alphonse Poirier and the late Mrs. Marie-Esther Cyr, as well as the love of his life, the late Mrs. Mathilda Leblanc.
He leaves to mourn his three children: Jean (Isabelle), Éric (Lyne) and Marylène (Frédéric); his grandchildren: Claudia (Marc), Josianne (Marc), Laurie (Jessy), Marie-Ève (Justin), Sandrine (Jeffrey), Cédric (Yasmine) and Kelly-Ann (Julien); his great-grandchildren Xavier, Juliette and Éloi; his sisters Monique, Jeanne, Francine and Antoinette (Paul-Émile); his brothers Joseph (Lucie), Jean-Luc (Odette), Clément (Louise) and Réginald (Noëlla); his nieces and nephews; his life partner, Patricia Sénéchal; as well as many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences at Saint-Isidore-de-La Prairie Church, located at 673 rang Saint-Régis, Saint-Isidore, Quebec J0L 2A0, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
The interment of the cremated remains will take place the same day at Saint-Isidore-de-La Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Mr. Poirier was entrusted to the care of Poissant & Fils Funeral Home.
