Dennis passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Kateri Memorial Hospital in the short term care. Dennis fought a long battle with his cancer for fifteen years.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Mike K. Montour and Nancy Deere.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Norton, married on March 1, 1969, 55 years to my one and only. Also survived by his four children Nadine, Andrea(Cory), Kariwakeron, Sheena (Mike) and two grandchildren Macy and Damien, his sister Phyllis Montour, his sister-in-laws Edna, Elizabeth, Esther, Faye, Janice and his brother-in-laws David (Leslie) ,Timmy (Noreen) also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dennis enjoyed watching on T.V. all kinds of sports , Hockey, Baseball, Golf and Football (NY Giants). He worked as an iron worker in the United States and was a member of Local 711, in Canada, since October 1963.
Nia:wen Kowa to the KMHC Palliative care team, the nurses, PAB’s, Dr. Quash, Dr. Fiset, home care nurse Zari and oncology at Anna-Laberge Hospital. Nia:wen Kowa to the medical mobile services and Kahnawake ambulance services for all the good care they gave to Dennis.
As per Dennis’ wish, there will be no viewing, just a cremation and burial of his ashes at a later date.
May he rest in peace as he is no longer in pain.
