Passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, surrounded by those she loved and who loved her dearly at the age of 94.
She will be joining her beloved husband Albert Gilbert, beloved children Sandra and Dennis “Diio”, her 9 beloved siblings Mike, Margaret, Ernie, Helen, Elsie, Hubert, Robert, Melvin and Francis.
She is survived by her children Chester(Mary), Donald(Cynthia), Carl(Mary), Daughter in-law Audrey, her grandchildren Skyler(Brianna), Jonas, Hogan(Karonhiokewas) Kathleen, Robert, Samantha, Tyler, Damion, Alexis and great grandchildren Grayson, Lincoln, Forest, Iewennénhawe, and many relatives and friends.
A very special thank you to all the staff in the Long Term Care Unit at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre for all great care they gave to our Ma and Tota Ma.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Kahnawake funeral parlour starting at 11 AM on Sunday August 17, 2025 followed by a service on Monday August 18, 2025 at 2PM at the Catholic Church of Kahnawake followed by burial at the Catholic Cemetery.
