It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Guy Roy, who passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, at the age of 81.
A dedicated police officer for 30 years with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Guy devoted his life to serving his community with courage, integrity, and commitment. His dedication and humanity left a lasting impression on both his colleagues and the citizens he protected over the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Berthe, his stepsons Étienne, Blaise, Félix, and Gino (Lisette), his grandchildren Cathy (Benoit), Alexandre (Mar-Lène), Mélanie (Pascal), David (Kim), Kevin (Émilie), Roxanne, Yanick (Claudie), as well as his great-grandchildren Samuel, Gabriel, Nohan, Théo, Nathan, Évy, Livia, Élyam, Raphaëlle, Alyss, and Noémi.
He also leaves behind his sister Lise (Robert Barette), his brother Pierre (Ginette), his niece Marie-Claude (Benoit), his nephew Christian, along with the extended SPVM police family and many other relatives and friends who will remember him as a fair, loyal, and generous man.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of the complex at 11:30 a.m., to pay a final tribute to his life.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire caregiving staff at the CHSLD Jean-Louis-Lapierre in Saint-Constant for the compassionate care provided to Guy.

Sincères sympathie à toi Berthe et ta famille, on s'excuse profondément de ne pas pouvoir être la en cette période de deuil mais dut l'état de Christiane, il lui était impossible de faire le voyage dit un bon départ à Guy et on t'aime beaucoup.
