Francine A. Nielsen-Chislett (nee Clavette), of Edmundston, NB, beloved wife of Melvyn D. Chislett of 47 years, passed away at the South Health Campus Hospital, Calgary, AB, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 78. Her husband was by her side as she transitioned into God’s grace.
She joins her parents, Lionel Clavette and Gertrude Theriault, of Grand Falls, NB; and brothers, Jean-Guy, Norbert, and Pierre (Maggie)
Francine was the proud mother of Christopher R. Nielsen (Suzan Henri), loving and devoted Nana to Jacob (Julia), Zachary, and Nathan. She also leaves behind her twin sister Francoise, sister Jocelyne, brother Andre (Daniele Dube), and many nieces and nephews.
Francine was a graduate from the Edmundston Business College. She greatly enjoyed the career choices she held in Montreal, QC, up until her retirement. She then accompanied her husband to many of his work locations, and finally settled down in Calgary, AB.
Francine loved her family, her friends, nature and animals; especially her pets, and had many different hobbies over the years. She enjoyed gardening, skiing, skating, reading, golfing, bowling, quilting, knitting, needle point, boating, motor cycling, camping, travel and music.
The family is grateful for the help and care provided by the healthcare professionals of the Bethany Riverview Residence, AB.

The family will welcome family and friends on Sunday, November 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a ceremony at the resort chapel at 4:00 p.m.
