Surrounded by her loving family, on December 20, 2025, at the age of 74, Joanne Agatha Kanerahtenhá:wi McComber passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Roddy Mark Meloche.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents, John Batiste Sr. and Betty McComber, and by her cherished grandson, Brenden Delormier.
She leaves behind her loving children: Bobbi Jo (Andrew), Kirsten, Landon (Melanie), Deidra (Wenetiio), Andrea (Mark), and Roddy Jr. (Sandi Jo).
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Tyler (Lakota), Dylan (Ridge), Taylor (Jay), and Hailie (Karontaa), and by her treasured great-grandchildren, Mallory-Mae and Brenden.
Joanne will be deeply missed by her sisters and brothers: Dinah; Bill (Barbara); Tootsie (Dave); Cookie (Millie); Betty Ann (Ken); Samantha; and John Batiste Jr. She also leaves behind her dear best friends, Erlene and Barbara, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Joanne was entrusted to the care of Poissant and Deer Funeral Home.
The family will receive relatives and friends beginning Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., for a closed-casket viewing, continuing until Wednesday, December 24, 2025, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral parlour. Cremation will follow.
