Obituary

Surrounded by her family, Mrs. Claudette Fréchette, wife of the late Mr. Bernard Barnes, of Sainte-Catherine, passed away peacefully at LaSalle Hospital at the age of 89.

She leaves to mourn her children Josée, Ghislaine, and Sylvain (Manon); her grandchildren Jonathan (Jessica), Julie (Olivier), Joannie (Nicolas), Andréa (Calvin), Garrett (Samantha), Audrey Ann (Jonathan), Simon (Jessika), Guillaume, Félix, and Laurie-Anne; her great-grandchildren Mélyna, Mickael, Jérémy, Joshua, Rosalie, Alice, Lyliane, Jaxton, and Logan; her sister Lucille (the late Marcel); her brother Louis; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by a farewell ceremony in the chapel of the funeral home, officiated by Father Louinès Plaisir, parish priest of Saint-Constant.

The interment of the ashes will take place in the spring at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, where the family will gather privately at that time.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the Résidence des Cascades in Sainte-Catherine for their excellent care, kindness, and dedication to Mrs. Claudette Fréchette. Their kindness and humanity were deeply appreciated.

A special thank you to Julie, her granddaughter, and Martin, her nephew, for their attentive presence, their gentleness, and the love with which they accompanied her during the final moments of her life at LaSalle Hospital.
