On April 10, 2026, at the Jean-Louis Lapierre Long-Term Care Centre, Mrs. Mariette Degré passed away at the age of 94. Originally from Valleyfield, she was the wife of the late Benoît Trudel.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her parents, Lionel Degré and Palmyre Bonhomme, and her brother, Bernard.
She is survived by her children: Danielle, Diane (François), Serge (Lise), Jacinthe (Claude), Nicole (Pierre), and Michel; her grandchildren: François (Véronie), Valérie (Cédric), David (Vanessa), and Mélanie; her great-grandchildren: Chloé, Emilie, Agathe, Caleb Maïkan, Evie, and Monroe; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Poissant & Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a tribute.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
