In loving memory of our beautiful Ista, Cynthia Susan Kahehtisákhe Deere passed away at Kateri Memorial Hospital Center on October 17, 2024 at the age of 74.
She has gone to join her parents Angus Woodrow Deere and Florence Marie Fullam, and brother Angus (Sweenie).
She leaves to mourn her children Meaghen (Dwayne), Kiersten (Jay) and Katsitsakenhiateh, grandchildren Donovan (Kiersten), Tehotsenháthe, Cedar, Onwaiathe, and Windflower, her siblings Marion, Joyce, and John, as well as other family members and friends.
She was a PAB at KMHC for over 20 years, a first responder at the Kahnawà:ke Fire Brigade, and in her late 60’s, a student for Interior Decorating and Visual Display, which demonstrated to her family, her passion and determination for accomplishing anything that she set her mind to.
Our heart felt thanks to the staff at Kateri Memorial Hospital Center for taking excellent care of her in her time of need.
The family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 starting at 4h pm followed by a ceremony on Thursday, October 24, at 10h am.
Burial will follow on a later date.
