It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Maurice Bastien of Saint-Mathieu-de-Laprairie, on July 23, 2026.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jocelyne Balleux, his daughters Johanne (François) and Annie (Manon), his grandson Louis, as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to all the healthcare staff at Anna-Laberge Hospital for their excellent care, dedication, and compassion.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room B of the funeral home.
A farewell ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
Mr. Bastien has been entrusted to the Poissant & Sons Funeral Home.
