Irene went to sleep in death at the age of ninety-six, surrounded by family and friends in Kahnawake on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Gary), three grandsons David (Rona-Lee), Alan and Jamie (Kahente), five great-grandchildren Melody, Lylee, Steven, Jonah and Jamie, her sister Doris Horne and brother Angus Patton.
